I did some painting today when we took a break from our training, though just of my Arcanine this time, nothing special. I don't have anything to scan it in with, since Yuuri and I are camping in Ilex forest at the moment, so I'll just have to carry it around for now.

It's been a while since my last post. We've been pretty busy, though it seems not much has been going on since Cerulean.

I lost by a hair at the Cerulean gym. I think I was (maybe) a little too rushed and didn't defend enough. Huh. Well my Pokemon don't even HAVE that many defensive moves, and that sort of thing isn't my style anyway. >/ Next time I will be stronger, though.

(And Yuuri lost as well, though he wasn't trying for the badge, so I don't think he was battling seriously. >/ )

By the way, before the battle, I evolved Bennet and Fairfax. So now only one of the members on my team is unevolved, though I think that she will soon.

Tomorrow we're going to Cerulean. It's not far from Saffron, so it certainly shouldn't take too long to get there.

I've started training for the battle there. Bennet has grown much stronger, and I've decided to use my Fire Stone on him very soon. After all, as an evolved Pokemon, Arcanine is much better at defending and should fare better against water attacks. (Though somehow "Bennet" doesn't seem suitable for such a majestic Pokemon anymore. Maybe I ought to change it's nickname. :/) But anyway, once my Vulpix learns the Fire Spin attack I will evolve her as well. Fortunately, Fairfax, which is Old English for "beautiful hair," is a more than suitable name for a Ninetails. >]

Aside from that, lately there hasn't been much going on. Besides Yuuri's unneeded concern about this other boy and his Pokemon, that is. >/

YUURI!! How could you start a gym battle without checking your Pokemon's stats first!?! Argh, were you out of your mind?! XO And you need to stop wasting turns by withdrawing your Pokemon, you wimp! Finish what you start! >O And furthermore, you use too many defensive moves!! Though...I guess your Squirtle's "Protect" did help me a few times.


Huh. Well, we didn't get our Marsh Badge then. I should probably train more before going against Cerulean. I've looked up Atobe Kaigo's information, and while I should be all right against his Sneasel the rest are resistant to all of my Pokemon. But after that, we'll come back to Saffron to get that badge for sure!! >O


.....By the way WHAT are we supposed to do with all of these stupid posters Oyajide gave us?! Sheesh, I'm not going to lug these around with me when I travel!

Tomorrow we try for our Marsh Badge. I've fought against plenty of Psychic Pokemon before, but I can't let my guard down. We'll leave for the gym early in the morning to face the trainers there.

And I evolved Liesel today! It was about time. Flareon is much stronger than Eevee, so it'll make the battle easier.

We trained a little more today, but took a break in the afternoon. To pass the time before dinner, I suggested that Yuuri paint a picture of me, since it'll give him a greater appreciation for art.

He hasn't had any artistic training, of course, so the result could certainly be improved. It lacks originality, for one, though I guess we couldn't expect too much from a wimp who plays baseball all the time.

Not bad for someone with mostly water Pokemon. >] He did use Cenred a lot, but it would have just been idiotic if he hadn't, since his opponents were all grass-type after all. Though why Cenred chose to evolve for that wimp instead of me I don't know. >/ Hmph, it would've been weird watching my first Pokemon fight and EVOLVE for someone else, if it weren't my own fiance.

Speaking of evolution, I think I'm going to use my fire stones soon---on my Growlithe and Vulpix and Eevee, that is. I've been warned against evolving too soon, but I think it's about time now. Plus, I'm really getting impatient. >[

Now that that's done, we should be going soon. Saffron is just a town away, so that will probably be our next stop. Maybe we'll train some more before heading there, though. So, Yuuri! Just because you've beat one more gym leader, that doesn't mean we can slack off now. Psychic Pokemon are tough, so we'd better get back to training if we don't want to humiliate ourselves there! >O


Though...since we have been training a lot lately...and you did get a badge today...maybe a day off would be okay. :/ Hmm...the food we've been eating is terrible, so I think tomorrow I'm going to take you somewhere nice for a change for dinner. >]

So we finally decided to trade! I have a water Pokemon, of all things, in my lineup now. We spent the afternoon getting acquainted with our new Pokemon. BOTH Cenred and Ozzie seem to like Yuuri more than me. >[ I'll always like fire Pokemon more, but having another type on your team is actually really useful. I went up against another fire trainer today, and battles with them usually last forever, but with a water/ground Pokemon it was quick. Of course, Ozzie needs more training, but he's really not bad.

But Yuuri had better take good care of Cenred! He was my first Pokemon, after all, even if he's not my strongest. >O


Anyway, tomorrow morning we're heading to the Celadon gym where Yuuri's going to try for his Rainbow Badge. Yuuri! Now that you have a fire Pokemon, NOT to mention all the hours we spent training, you'd better not lose, you wimp! >D

My fiance and I went shopping today at the Celadon Department store. The selection of items there is rather impressive, even though the quality could be improved. There were some hard-to-find supplies in the Pokemon section, and I purchased some Pokemon Vitamins and a few TM's, which will probably be useful when I battle the Cerulean and Saffron Gym Leaders.
We also looked around the rest of the store for a while, though not for very long because someone is a big wimp. >/ Huh! He SAID he was tired of training all the time, so I thought it would be a good break!

And I still don't see why we couldn't look at the rings. >[

Yuuri spent all day playing baseball again, which is a good sign that it's about time to leave. And this time, there were a couple extra self-invited people. >/ Sheesh, it's bad enough to meet certain people online, so do we really have to meet them in person? >E


Anyway, we have to make a choice soon. There are a few towns we could go to next, though they're all pretty far away. Maybe there's a way we could borrow a flying Pokemon.

We’ll probably stay here for a little longer until we’re ready to challenge the Viridian Gym leaders. We weren’t able to get the Seafoam Badge at the conference, unfortunately, but I guess that just can’t be helped. It’ll have to wait until we have a chance to go back.

I haven’t been on since what happened at the Conference. I guess there’s a lot to catch up on.

…The stupid wimp, getting himself mixed up into all that. He should have known better than to wander around all alone. If he didn’t always have to be such a goody-two-shoes hero, they might have just knocked him out and let him go!
